Smart EnergyIT and Energy technology integration brought global industrial revolution and new strategic opportunity. Smart Energy will use IT technology to improve energy efficiency, which will promote integration and development of energy saving and IT technology, which will strong support the China‘s “12th Five Years Plan” of energy saving.

Europe: European Union (EU) released the second “Smart Energy – European” Plan. Principal members of EU including Germany and Britain actively promote the development of smart energy, whose purport is to build an efficient energy system based on information and communications technology that can achieve self-regulation. America put forward the latest strategy of developing smart energy, i.e., to establish the energy network of 21 century. The key points of this strategy include developing renewable energy source access, large-scale energy storage, user side management, smart grid, data and information security and smart architecture.

China:The 18th CPC National Congress clearly arise the action of energy saving and emission reduction, besides, the Twelfth Five Year Plan especially focuses on cultivating and developing the seven strategic emerging industries including energy conservation and environment protection and the new generation of information technology. By 2015, output value of China's national energy-saving environmental protection industry is expected to more than RMB 3 trillion
